So what do I do?

So what do I do? A little bit of everything. My first real job was sewing at a slipcover studio, but I've been really sewing since I put buttons on my dad's boxer shorts :-). And while most people would consider sewing piping for eight hours a day a type of slave labor, I loved it. And worked at the same shop for three summers.

These ladies do excellent work, and if you are anywhere near Chicago and need slipcovers, pillows, or fabric, they are the ones to go to. Be ready to wait in line, though. There's a waiting list for this talent. Check out the website here!
